Wenge tear drop island

Unusual, striking, modern; designed uniquely to fit the intended space.  My clients had an idea of the shape and were fascinated by the beautiful grain and colours of wenge.

Technically, this was a challenging piece.  The four separate curved laminations for the aprons were labour intensive, two having 12 laminae of wenge!  All leg to apron joints are fully mortised and tenoned.
